Oh, Blog!

Wow!
Last post was in April! Its been 2 months since I've last posted and I've kind of missed blogging, but I'm not ready to go all out again. Gonna come back slowly. Also, I'm thinking of a new blog name to go with my new transition. I don't think it will be a "mommy" blog, but simply a blog about being a mother, a wife, a student, and etc... just about me. Does that make sense? :)

So... of course I have baby brain so I wanted to share with you some of the joys I have been experiencing through my pregnancy.

I found this cute polka dot maternity shirt at H&M for like $18! What a steal and so comfy!
Who knew H&M could make cute maternity shirts too? :)
Anyway, this would be my baby bump at 19 weeks. I'm at 24 now, but this is when I was finally getting that round belly :)

It's funny how people can really convince you what you'll be having....
Everyone thought I was going to have a boy, and I even started to believe it!
Then I found out we were having a girl and it was quite a nice surprise.
I go to Baby Gap every weekend and shop the sale section.
The baby girl clothes are to die for there, but I don't want to spend an arm and a leg on clothes when she's going to outgrow them so quick, so SALE SECTION it is :) I don't buy anything over $8. Hahaha!
Anyway, we're having a girl!!
I was hoping the first one would be a girl too. God answered my prayers :)

Okay, I wanted to brag about this painting for a bit. Do you mind?
I went back home (Chicago) in May to visit family and friends.
In my last post I mentioned that one of my best friends back home was also pregnant.
She's also having a girl :)
Anyway, she loves the ocean theme and was going to do that for her nursery.
I wanted the PERFECT gift for her, but couldn't find anything I really liked.
So I asked my sister-in-law to paint something. She sent me a few sketches and this
was the final product! I am so proud of her and she really did an amazing job!!
I was able to give her a few details of what I wanted and she just ran with it.
So talented. If you're looking for custom art work, please let me know! My sister-in-law
is super talented and can deliver! :)

Lastly, I love the idea of crafting, but it's not always easy for me to do it.
I either get really lazy or everything seems so hard that I don't want to try.
But I found this really cute DIY wooden block project by another blogger and I wanted to link her in this post, but I can't seem to find her page :( If I find it, I'll definitely let you know!
But anyway, I decided to do these to announce our baby girl's name!
We have decided on Ellie for a girl's name. It is just Ellie and not short for anything :)

I think the next post, I'll share some of my other great finds for the nursery :)
I don't really have an exact theme... I can't seem to stick to ONE thing.
Everything is cute. Anyone else have this problem? It happens to the indecisive ones! Hahaha :)
I guess I don't like to conform to one thing.

What Happens When Your Best Friend is Also Pregnant!

After I found out I was pregnant, I was waiting for my bestie to find out if she was pregnant too, BEFORE I told her my news. :)
Here's her pregnancy announcement! :) She's a photographer in the suburbs of Chicago, so if you ever need pictures, she can definitely take them for you! :) She's an expert with baby photos as well! I wish we lived closer so she could take newborn pics for me :( Here's her Facebook page! Pizza Photography
Go check her out and LIKE her Facebook page!

Anyway, N and I are 4 weeks apart. Our babies will be born in the same month!! How crazy is that? Mine in the beginning of October and hers near the end of October!

It's really great being pregnant with your BFF. WHY?
Because you get to share that common bond of pregnancy.
I truly believe through this experience, we are closer than ever!
This is both our first pregnancy as well so we're going through all the same emotions, nervousness, and anticipation!

We pretty much talk everyday, giving each other support and encouragement, and also venting about morning sickness. N has been an incredible support to me. I'm way more frazzled than she is about the baby.

I'm planning on going up to Chicago in May; N and I are doing our own private mini baby shower for each other. We'll hang out, have a girl's day, and then exchange gifts. I wish I could share with you the gift I have in mind, but I'm pretty much going to show her this post after I'm done writing it. :P

It's so mind blowing and I am so thankful to God that I have someone close to me going through the same thing! Just wish we were closer in distance! I know she definitely feels the same.

Have you ever been pregnant at the same time your best friend was?

My Pregnancy Status:

  • 13 Weeks
  • Still nauseous
  • Craving fries (But have been getting so much support on this :) Thank you mom's)
  • Hungry all the time, but no real appetite
  • Finally taking prenatal vitamins with HIGH DHA doses
  • Can't eat any kind of meat or chicken
  • Lost 4lbs so far
  • Belly is rounding, but still at an awkward phase... Belly doesn't really look like a pregnant stomach. It's kind of in-between a fat belly and a pregnant belly. Hahaha! But CANNOT SUCK IN ANYMORE!
What did you crave during your pregnancy?

A Double Post: WHAT WHAT? :) {Special Announcement}

I have been MIA for awhile... Less facebook, less twitter, less social media. But there's a good reason for everything. :)
On January 25th, I took a pregnancy and found out it was POSITIVE
A day before my husband's birthday. What a great, early birthday present for him :)
Here's our pregnancy announcement we just posted over the weekend on Facebook.

Baby K is due October 7th!
We are excited and nervous all at the same time.
But this is the reason I haven't been motivated to keep up with blogging.
My days are incredibly long and with a baby on the way, it was just incredibly tiring and overwhelming.
Again I apologize for the lack of presence and love.
We're at 12 weeks so hopefully I'll be more energized!!

Thanks for your patience and understanding!!

About LSY Creations: "A little piece of handmade in the midst of everyday life."

I started sewing a few years ago, as a way to keep myself busy when my husband was working night shifts. As I shared my finished projects on Facebook, my friends encouraged me to open a shop online to sell my items. After a couple years of creating my own items, I have finally decided to share them with the world.

You will find variety of items in my shop. Everything from wallets and zipper pouches, to children's crayon rolls, crocheted hats, and dish cloths.

I really enjoy the thrill of finishing a product, and I hope you can enjoy them too. I spend a lot of time putting great detail into my products, and I'm always searching for more ways to improve.

Take a look around, and let me know what you think!
